Dave began drawing at an early age, winning prizes at the county fair at age 11. He has been an airbrush illustrator since the late 60’s. Dave enjoys working in acrylics on no. 80 illustration board creating artwork of a historic nature in particular..

When he was only 8 years old, his friends had a hard time pronouncing his name. David A. Weigant, pronounced (Wee-jant), became Wee-Gee. From then on, he has been called Wegee, (Wee-Gee) by his peers.
